The National Museum of Prehistory is located in Les Eyzies de Tayac, in the valley of the Vézère. It is the most important museum on prehistory as well as a major research center. The museum is located among numerous previously inhabited caves unearthed along the Vézère. There are undoubtedly many hidden gems yet to be discovered.
