Souillac – its 7 viaducts

Category
The city of Souillac

What you cannot miss when visiting Souillac are the seven viaducts that surround the city, with the viaduct over the Borrèze, built between 1881 and 1885, the most important. The Paris-Toulouse railway line (still) follows this route, which explains why the resistance blew up part of one of the bridges during WWII. Since different materials were used for the repair work, that act has left its mark to this day.
